EAO AG has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of a new protective frame for its Series 09 Rugged Keypads. This accessory is engineered to enhance usability and safety in scenarios involving uneven terrain or the use of work gloves.
The protective frame is developed to meet stringent standards, such as EN 1501-1:2021, which applies to control units on waste collection vehicles. The standard mandates that external control devices must be secured against unintentional activation or contact. The frame helps prevent false triggers and uncontrolled movement of equipment parts, like lifting devices. Furthermore, it ensures reliable operation even with work gloves, due to improved finger guidance.
The new frame easily attaches to existing 6 or 8-button Series 09 Rugged Keypads, separating individual buttons to reduce the risk of operational errors.
