EAO Expands 09 Rugged Keypads Series with 8-Button Version
EAO AG has introduced an 8-button version to its 09 Rugged Keypads series. These new keypads are designed for demanding outdoor applications and extreme environmental conditions.
Olten, Switzerland – EAO AG, a developer and manufacturer of HMI components, has expanded its 09 Rugged Keypads product line with the addition of an 8-button model. These newly released keypads are built for high durability, making them suitable for outdoor use in challenging environments.
The 8-button keypads feature configurable 4-segment and RGB Halo Ring illumination, providing status indication and optical feedback. Customization options include interchangeable ISO 7000 or custom symbols and colored symbol inlays, enhancing their adaptability to specific applications.
With a high degree of protection up to IP6K9K, these keypads offer robust resistance against dust and high-pressure water jets. This makes them ideal for deployment on various construction and special vehicles, including fire trucks, refuse collection vehicles, and agricultural machinery, even under harsh conditions.
EAO AG states that the new 8-button models are available in SUPER, PLUS, and BASIC variants. They are designed for modularity and offer easy installation through clip-in or screw mounting. The company also notes their suitability for functional safety applications, complying with ISO 26262 and EN ISO 13849 standards.
