EAO Expands German Facility, Creating New Jobs

Swiss family-owned company EAO AG has officially commenced construction on an expansion of its site in Auerbach, located in Germany's Vogtland region. The groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of building a new, three-story facility designed to consolidate modern logistics, production, and canteen and social areas under one roof.

The investment, valued at approximately 15 million euros, signals EAO's commitment to the region and its long-term future. The expansion project includes both new construction and conversions, aiming to establish efficient and contemporary operational spaces. Upon completion, the facility is projected to employ up to 250 individuals in roles spanning manual assembly, logistics, purchasing, quality assurance, and industrial engineering.

"The groundbreaking marks the beginning of a strategically important project for our company," stated EAO Managing Director Dirk Hofmann. EAO expects the Auerbach site to become its global logistics hub, facilitating worldwide distribution. The new premises are intended to optimize processes and support growth through advanced technology.

The construction also incorporates sustainable energy concepts, utilizing an air-water heat pump for heating. The project is scheduled for completion by March 2027. EAO AG, with over 75 years of experience, specializes in HMI (Human-Machine Interface) solutions.
