EAO Expands Universal Button Series 09 With New DUAL CONTACT Variant
EAO AG has expanded its Universal Button series 09 with the addition of a new DUAL CONTACT variant. This extension offers more configuration possibilities for vehicle interiors.
Olten, Switzerland – EAO AG has expanded its Universal Button series 09, originally developed for vehicle interiors, by introducing a new DUAL CONTACT variant. This enhancement provides increased configuration options for applications in cars, electric vehicles, buses, and specialty vehicles.
The Universal Button series 09 is noted for its modular, ergonomic design and high-quality surface finish, which offers good tactile feedback. The buttons can also be illuminated with symbols according to ISO 7000 standards or custom customer designs.
The new DUAL CONTACT variant complements the existing STANDARD model. Both versions are available with numerous configurations, including various LED illumination options and red symbol lighting suitable for warning light switches. The buttons can also be used solely as illuminated indicators or spacers without a mechanical function.
EAO AG highlights the suitability of these buttons for safety-critical applications. They feature diagnostic capabilities through resistance coding (Namur), allowing for the detection of issues such as cable breaks and switching states. The DUAL CONTACT model further enables the use of two redundant switching signals, enhancing system reliability.
According to the company, the Universal Button series 09 offers flexible control and signaling devices for demanding environments in vehicles and machinery. They are suitable for a variety of functions, including lighting control, seat heating, climate control, transmission control, and SOS and warning light switches.
