EAO launches evaluation kit for LIN/CAN HMI components

EAO AG has released the Series 09 LIN/CAN Evaluation Kit, a new accessory that allows users to configure and test the capabilities of HMI (Human-Machine Interface) components featuring LIN or CAN interfaces without direct integration into an application. This kit aims to simplify the evaluation and demonstration process for HMI functionalities.

The evaluation kit includes both hardware and software, enabling users to easily connect a LIN/CAN-enabled HMI to a computer or laptop running Windows. The company states that the setup is quick and the operation is intuitive, facilitating the configuration and immediate testing of HMI specifications. It is also suitable for supporting design-in processes for LIN/CAN applications.

Users can configure various aspects of the HMI, including button illumination brightness and color selection. Additionally, the four-segment Halo Ring illumination can be set to different modes such as color change, flashing, pulsing, or rotating. The kit is designed to work with EAO's software and Vector CAN interfaces but can also be used with alternative CAN software and interfaces.
