EAO Launches New 09 Series In-Cabin Keypads for Vehicles
EAO AG has expanded its 09 series with new in-cabin keypads designed for heavy-duty and special vehicles. The new keypads aim to enhance safety and functionality within vehicle interiors.
Olten, Switzerland – August 2022 – EAO AG, a developer and manufacturer of Human Machine Interface (HMI) components, has introduced new in-cabin keypads as an expansion to its 09 series. These keypads are developed to meet the increasing demands for safety, functionality, and design in the driver workplaces of heavy-duty and special vehicles.
The new In-Cabin Keypads offer application-specific configuration options, including illumination and communication interfaces. Users can also select and arrange symbols individually, catering to both standard vehicle functions like lighting and wipers, as well as specific controls for different vehicle types.
The 09 series keypads are available in SUPER, PLUS, and BASIC variants, featuring six push-buttons. The BASIC variant, which is hard-wired, also comes in a two-button option. Customers can choose between CAN bus connectivity or a hard-wired version, with further customization possible through various illumination options and interchangeable symbols.
Key features highlighted include programmable RGB Halo-ring and symbol illumination, a modular automotive design, and IP5K4 front protection. Their shallow installation depth and quick snap-in or screw mounting allow for flexible installation in both vertical and horizontal orientations. The keypads can also be combined modularly.
