EClinCloud's eCOA Platform Expands to 177 Countries, Driven by Global Clinical Trials

EClinCloud, an AI technology company focused on clinical research, has announced its electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA) platform now operates in 177 countries and regions across four continents. This expansion is attributed to the increasing prevalence of international multi-regional clinical trials (MRCTs) and the industry-wide shift from paper-based to electronic data capture.

The eCOA platform supports over 40 indication areas and more than 960 collaborating sites. It is designed to capture all five types of clinical outcome assessments (COA), including patient-reported outcomes (ePRO) and clinician-reported outcomes (eClinRO). The solution offers multilingual support, end-to-end scale management, rater training, and direct integration with electronic data capture (EDC) systems.

EClinCloud's internal research highlights a significant increase in China-inclusive MRCTs, which have grown fivefold over the past decade, now constituting a substantial portion of new drug development starts. The platform's broad geographical reach, multilingual capabilities including less common languages, and a unified delivery of hardware and software across diverse regions are critical for ensuring data consistency in complex global studies.
