Cornerstone Research has appointed economist Ryan Williams as a Principal in its London office. Williams's background spans academia, consulting, industry, and regulatory work, strengthening the firm's capabilities in international arbitration, valuation, and regulatory analysis.
Williams previously served as a non-executive director for the UK's Regulatory Policy Committee, where he assessed the economic and regulatory impacts of proposed legislation, including a focus on artificial intelligence. He also held positions as chief economist for a UK cleantech company, leading the design of electricity market systems.
Cornerstone Research highlighted Williams's diverse experience, which includes academic roles as a finance professor in Europe and the United States, as well as expert witness testimony in commercial litigations and international arbitrations concerning asset valuation and damages quantification.
