EDF and Partners Secure Financing for 120 MW Oman Wind Project
A consortium led by EDF Power Solutions, Al Khadra Partners, and OQ Alternative Energy has reached financial close on the 120 MW Jaalan Bani Bu Ali (JBB) Wind Independent Power Project in Oman. Commercial operations are slated to begin in Q3 2027.

Financial close has been achieved for the 120-megawatt (MW) Jaalan Bani Bu Ali (JBB) wind power project located in the Sultanate of Oman. The project is being developed by a consortium led by EDF Power Solutions, in partnership with Al Khadra Partners and OQ Alternative Energy. Commercial operations are anticipated to commence in the third quarter of 2027.
Upon completion, the wind farm is expected to supply low-carbon electricity to the region, supporting Oman's broader goals of increasing its renewable energy capacity. The project aims to meet growing energy demands while contributing to a reduction in reliance on fossil fuels.
