Chinese tech company Edifier has introduced its new Hecate Twin Engine Pro gaming earphones, engineered for gamers. The product employs a three-driver hybrid system, combining two dynamic drivers with a balanced armature unit, utilizing physical frequency division.
The Hecate Twin Engine Pro earphones feature a dedicated high-frequency balanced armature driver per side, responsible for delivering crisp treble. This is complemented by dual 6mm high-magnetic neodymium dynamic drivers with new TPU-coated titanium diaphragms for mid and low frequencies. Edifier states this configuration allows for the clear reproduction of subtle in-game sounds, such as rustling leaves or reloading mechanisms.
Certified with Hi-Res Audio, the earphones boast a frequency response from 20Hz to 40kHz. They include an integrated high-definition microphone designed for accurate voice capture while filtering out ambient noise. Edifier reports that the audio profile was specifically tuned in collaboration with professional esports teams, enhancing soundscapes beneficial for FPS games, including improved footstep detection and impact from explosions.
