Indian edtech company Fusion Klassroom Edutech made its stock market debut on the BSE SME platform on Tuesday. The company's shares were listed at ₹170, representing a 6.92% premium to the issue price of ₹159.
The stock saw further gains during trading, reaching ₹178.50 at one point, up 12.26% from the issue price. The company's market capitalization stood at approximately ₹164.9 crore (about $17.3 million) by Tuesday morning.
Klassroom raised approximately ₹39 crore (about $3.9 million) through its IPO. The issue's price band was set between ₹151 and ₹159, with the company seeking a valuation of around ₹148.1 crore (about $15.3 million). The public issue was subscribed 1.46 times.
The company intends to use the proceeds for technology upgrades, content development, marketing and brand building, and debt repayment. Founded in 2016 by Alka Javeri and her sons, Klassroom operates a hybrid learning platform covering K-12 education, competitive exam preparation, and professional upskilling.
Klassroom is focusing on hybrid learning, combining its online learning platform with over 30 offline centers. The company is also developing an AI-powered tutoring system and expanding its multilingual content offerings. Its revenue for fiscal year 2026 was approximately ₹23 crore, with a net profit of ₹7.6 crore.
