EIB Group Marks Luxembourg Pride Week With Record Staff Participation
The European Investment Bank Group (EIB) participated in Luxembourg Pride Week from July 2 to 12, 2026. Approximately 600 employees joined the Pride Run, setting a new participation record for the organization.

Around 600 EIB Group employees took part in the Pride Run on July 2, marking a new record for staff participation. The EIB Group also joined the Equality March on July 11 to support acceptance and legal equality for the LGBTIQ+ community.
EIB Vice-President Robert de Groot stated that Pride is both a celebration of diversity and a reminder of the shared responsibility to uphold equality and solidarity. He emphasized the EIB Group's commitment to fostering an environment where everyone feels respected and valued, particularly as LGBTIQ+ rights face growing challenges.
The bank's involvement aligns with European Union principles of equality, human dignity, and non-discrimination. The EIB aims to enhance innovation and organizational effectiveness through a diverse and inclusive working environment.
