EIT Pharma to Present Lonafarnib Data at 2026 Delta Cure Meeting

Biotechnology company EIT Pharma announced it will sponsor and present at the 5th Edition of the Delta Cure International Meeting, held in Milan, Italy, from October 15-16, 2026. The meeting serves as a forum for research on the Hepatitis Delta Virus (HDV).

At the event, EIT Pharma will present new analyses from its lonafarnib development program. Lonafarnib is currently the only late-stage investigational oral therapy for chronic Hepatitis Delta (CHD). Earlier this year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) accepted a New Drug Application for lonafarnib for the treatment of CHD.

EIT Pharma's presentation will include an oral session detailing histologic improvement and reduction in necroinflammation with lonafarnib-based therapy in the Phase 3 D-LIVR trial, presented by Dr. Nancy Reau of Rush University Medical Center. Additionally, two poster presentations will cover post-treatment response after 48 weeks of lonafarnib therapy and the clinical significance of ALT dynamics following treatment cessation.

EIT Pharma focuses on developing therapies for infectious diseases with significant unmet medical needs. Lonafarnib is an investigational oral therapeutic candidate being evaluated for chronic Hepatitis Delta. The drug has not yet been approved by the FDA or other regulatory authorities.
