EKHO Infrastructure Solutions Expands Retaining Wall and MSE Capabilities Through Acquisitions

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. – EKHO Infrastructure Solutions has bolstered its engineered retaining wall and mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) capabilities. The company announced its integration with Ground Improvement Systems (GIS) and Structured Soils Inc. (SSI), along with the acquisition of the ARES retaining wall system from Tensar Corporation.

The acquisitions bring specialized expertise in MSE systems, geotechnical design, and soil reinforcement solutions. GIS and SSI's knowledge is expected to enhance EKHO's offerings, particularly for transportation and heavy civil infrastructure projects, supporting the company's strategic expansion into the U.S. retaining wall market.

The newly acquired ARES system is a geosynthetic-reinforced MSE retaining wall system. This addition complements EKHO's existing steel-reinforced MSE solutions, enabling the company to better serve projects with corrosion considerations or those requiring synthetic soil reinforcement technologies or the use of native onsite backfill.

"With 37 state approvals, the addition of the ARES product line significantly expands EKHO's reach within the U.S. retaining wall market," stated Justin Wexler, COO of EKHO Infrastructure Solutions. "ARES holds one of the broadest approval footprints in the industry, providing EKHO immediate access to key markets where we previously did not have a geosynthetic offering, including California, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and Florida."

With its expanded geosynthetic and MSE solutions now available across most U.S. states and Canada, EKHO aims to strengthen its position as a provider of infrastructure and transportation solutions. These moves are intended to enhance its offerings in the transportation, rail, and commercial sectors.
