Elbit Systems wins 170 million dollar contract for IDF artillery training center

Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract valued at approximately 170 million dollars to establish and operate an advanced training and simulation center for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Artillery Corps. The agreement covers a 15-year period and focuses on supporting the integration of the 'ROEM' self-propelled artillery system and 'LAHAV' rocket launchers.

The project entails the development of comprehensive training infrastructure, including mission and driving simulators, classrooms, and automated, AI-driven training solutions. By providing these simulation capabilities, the military aims to improve training efficiency while simultaneously reducing the wear and tear on operational combat platforms.

"This project demonstrates our ability to deliver integrated and networked training solutions," said Boaz Cohen, General Manager of Elbit Systems Land & Armaments. The firm, which reported an order backlog of 32 billion dollars as of mid-2026, will provide ongoing maintenance and support services throughout the lifespan of the contract.
