Elden Ring player engagement data reveals high long-term retention
New data shows nearly 10 million players have logged over 100 hours in Elden Ring, with 3.5 million completing all available in-game achievements.
Market research from Alinea Analytics indicates that Elden Ring continues to maintain a significant player base years after its release. Among the approximately 36 million units sold globally, about 25% of the player base has invested more than 100 hours into the title.
The completion rate for the game varies by platform, with 10.9% of PlayStation owners unlocking the game's platinum trophy. Steam users follow closely at 10.5%, while the Xbox platform reports a 3.9% completion rate. In total, roughly 3.5 million users have achieved full completion across all platforms.
Despite being released four years ago, the game remains a revenue driver for publisher Bandai Namco. In 2026 alone, the title generated approximately $110 million in revenue from 2 million additional units sold. The franchise is set for further expansion with a planned film adaptation scheduled for release in 2028.
