Electric Vehicle Charging Peaks Expected During National Holiday
Charging peaks for electric vehicles are predicted for October 1 during China's National Day holiday. The State Grid forecasts record charging volumes on highways in several provinces.
Electric vehicle charging is expected to peak on October 1 during China's National Day holiday period, according to State Grid. The highest demand for charging is anticipated between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, based on forecasts from a smart vehicle connectivity platform.
The return travel days, October 5 and 6, are also projected to see high numbers of vehicles charging on highways. Peak charging times are expected on October 5 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on October 6 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Regionally, provinces including Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Hebei, Henan, and Fujian are expected to set new records for highway charging volumes. The most heavily utilized charging stations are predicted to be along the Changshen, Shenhai, and Hukun expressways.
