Electricity Producer TVO Generated Significant Volume in 2025

Electricity producer TVO has concluded its 2025 production year, reporting a significant volume of electricity generated. According to the company, the past year brought both successes and challenges, which were overcome through teamwork and professional expertise.

During 2025, TVO generated a total of 23.41 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity. This output is substantial, covering approximately one quarter of Finland's total electricity consumption and equivalent to the needs of several smaller nations.

The company noted that Finland's energy sector is undergoing a significant transition. While weather-dependent sources like wind power have seen substantial capacity increases, often surpassing nuclear power, nuclear energy continues to play a vital role due to its stable, year-round production.
