AI company ElevenLabs, specializing in human-like text-to-speech technology, has reportedly secured a valuation of $22 billion from its investors. This was confirmed by co-founder and CEO Mati Staniszewski in an interview.
ElevenLabs' technology is widely used in customer service, converting text into speech. The company serves major clients including Klarna, Deutsche Telekom, Cisco, and Adobe. Additionally, creative professionals utilize the platform for producing audiobooks, dubbing, and music.
While competition in the sector is increasing, ElevenLabs' investors do not appear concerned. The company currently reports an annual recurring revenue of $600 million. Despite being only four years old, its valuation has seen significant growth.
Staniszewski stated in the interview that businesses should disclose to customers when they are interacting with AI. He also indicated that the company is prepared to accept tighter profit margins to expand its market share.
