Elicera Therapeutics Completes Phase I of CARMA Study, Reports Tumor Responses
Elicera Therapeutics has treated the final patient in Phase I of its CARMA study. To date, all 11 evaluated patients have achieved disease control, with 91% showing tumor response.

Gothenburg, August 11, 2026 – Elicera Therapeutics AB, a clinical-stage cell and gene therapy company, announced today the treatment of the final patient in Phase I of its CARMA study. The company also provided an update on preliminary data.
Among the eleven patients evaluated so far, all have demonstrated disease control one month post-treatment, indicating no disease progression. Furthermore, nine of the eleven patients (91%) have exhibited a tumor response, suggesting a reduction in tumor size.
The CARMA study is investigating a CAR T-cell therapy developed by Elicera, enhanced with the company's proprietary iTANK platform. This technology is designed to improve the immune system's ability to target and attack cancer cells.
Phase I of the study is primarily focused on assessing the safety and tolerability of the CAR T-cell therapy. However, the observed clinical responses provide early indications of the treatment's potential efficacy. Elicera Therapeutics expects to proceed to Phase II of the study.
