Elon Musk alleges Ukraine violated Starlink terms with offensive drone usage

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has accused Ukraine of violating the company’s terms of service by employing the Starlink satellite network for lethal drone operations. The comments were made as SpaceX confirmed the implementation of restrictions designed to prevent the use of its satellite technology on high-speed drones.

Ukrainian officials have formally denied the allegations. According to both current and former representatives, existing technical limits imposed by SpaceX had already restricted the military's ability to utilize the system in the manner described by Musk. Ukrainian officials further alleged that SpaceX has throttled access to Starshield, the military-specific variant of the service provided through a contract with the U.S. government.

The development marks an ongoing tension between the private provider and the Ukrainian military regarding the acceptable scope of satellite technology in modern warfare.
