A humanoid robot combat event organized by a Shenzhen robotics company has gained attention, with Tesla CEO Elon Musk reposting a video and calling the fights 'fun'.
A combat event featuring two EngineAI T800 humanoid robots trading blows in an MMA-style octagon has gone viral, attracting commentary from Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Musk reposted footage of the July 19 event on social media, stating, 'Robot fights are fun.'
The robots, standing 1.73 meters tall and weighing 75 kilograms, exchanged punches and kicks. In a notable moment, one robot's head was detached by an opponent's kick, yet it continued to fight using its torso-mounted control system.
Equipped with high-strength hydraulic joints, the robots are capable of executing human-like combat maneuvers including jabs, spinning kicks, and takedowns. The event has been promoted as the world's first industrial-grade humanoid robot free-fighting competition.
