Elon Musk Donated Over $276 Million to Republican Midterm Efforts

Elon Musk has contributed at least $276 million to Republican groups since July, according to The New York Times. This makes him the Republican Party's largest known donor and the most significant contributor to the current midterm election cycle.

Of this amount, $158 million was directed to the Senate Leadership Fund, a major super PAC focused on securing and maintaining a Republican majority in the Senate. This single donation is reported as one of the largest political contributions in U.S. history.

Musk also provided over $76 million to America PAC, a super PAC he founded in 2024 that supports Republican candidates. The Texas Senate seat, a key hub for Musk's business ventures, is a focus area for this PAC.

The substantial donations come ahead of the U.S. midterm elections, which will determine the balance of power in Congress for the next two years.
