Embecta Corp. Faces Securities Class Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Investor Misrepresentation
A class action lawsuit alleges Embecta Corp. misled investors by misrepresenting the financial stability of its insulin pen needle business, leading to significant stock price drop.

National shareholder rights law firm Hagens Berman is investigating Embecta Corp. (NASDAQ: EMBC) for alleged violations of federal securities laws, following the filing of a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit claims Embecta misrepresented the commercial stability of its insulin pen needle business.
The class action, covering investors between November 25, 2025, and May 4, 2026, alleges that Embecta and its management misled shareholders by describing its pen needle portfolio as "stable" and "resilient." The complaint contends that the company was actually experiencing significant competitive share loss and market volume softness, which management allegedly knew or recklessly disregarded.
The alleged misrepresentations came to light on May 5, 2026, when Embecta announced a substantial revenue decline in its second-quarter fiscal 2026 results. The company cited headwinds in the U.S. pen needle market, contradicting earlier assurances. Embecta also slashed its full-year 2026 adjusted earnings per share guidance by approximately 43% and drastically reduced its quarterly dividend by 93%.
Following this news, Embecta's stock price plummeted by 57.8% in a single trading day. Hagens Berman is now seeking individuals who purchased Embecta common stock during the class period and suffered substantial losses, offering them the opportunity to lead the class action lawsuit.
