Embodied AI startup PHYMI raises nearly US$100 million in seed funding

Embodied AI startup PHYMI has secured nearly US$100 million in seed funding, according to the company. Founded earlier this year by Liu Nianqiu, a former executive at autonomous driving company DeepRoute.ai, PHYMI is developing "Physical Agents."

IDG Capital led the funding round, which also saw participation from Yunqi Capital, DiDi, Fosun RZ Capital, Glory Ventures, and Hesai Technology. The company stated the funds will be allocated to core technology research, real-world data infrastructure, product engineering, and team expansion.

PHYMI's "Physical Agents" are designed to understand goals, move and manipulate objects, and complete tasks in open, dynamic environments.

The significant seed funding positions PHYMI to advance its development in the embodied AI sector.
