Embodied AI startup PsiBot raises over $100 million

PsiBot, a Chinese startup specializing in embodied AI for dexterous manipulation, has completed a funding round exceeding $100 million. The investment saw participation from Ningbo Tuopu Group, a fund backed by Chery Holdings, Lens Technology, 37 Interactive Entertainment, Wuhu Investment Holding Group, and Fosun Fortune Capital. Existing investor Zhuhai Technology Industry Group also participated.

The raised funds are designated for advancing research in embodied world models, collecting human operation data, and facilitating deployments within logistics and advanced manufacturing sectors. PsiBot is developing a dual-system architecture that integrates its Psi-R2 operation-policy model with its Psi-W0 action-conditioned world model.

The company aims to enhance robotic capabilities for complex tasks in industrial settings by leveraging advanced AI and simulation. This funding is expected to accelerate PsiBot's technological commercialization and expand its market reach.

Industry observers note that embodied AI technologies are increasingly seen as crucial for future automation, enabling the creation of more adaptable and versatile robotic systems.
