Investment firms EMERGING and Promethean announced the launch of The Experience Fund (XPR), a $300 million investment vehicle. The fund will focus on backing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions targeted at the hospitality and travel industry.
The fund is a 50/50 co-sponsored effort between the two firms, with a total investment capacity of $300 million and a hard cap of $500 million. Managing Partner of EMERGING, Mathew Focht, and Managing Partner of Promethean will lead the investment initiatives.
The initiative aims to leverage advancements in AI to enhance customer experiences in hotels, restaurants, and other travel-related services. Investments are expected to target companies developing AI-driven tools for personalization, automation, and operational efficiency improvements.
Industry observers anticipate the fund will play a role in accelerating AI adoption within the hospitality sector, which is increasingly focused on technology to improve service delivery and competitiveness.
