Emmy Awards 2026: How and when to watch livestream

The Television Academy is celebrating the best of television at the 78th Emmy Awards ceremony tonight, Monday, September 14, 2025, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will honor outstanding achievements in television programming and performances from the past year.

Actress Mariska Hargitay, known for her role as Olivia Benson in "Law & Order: SVU," will host the ceremony. Fox set to receive the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his advocacy and work in Parkinson's disease research.

This year's ceremony includes adjustments to the broadcast format, with five categories moved from the primetime telecast to the earlier Creative Arts Emmy Awards to shorten the main show. These include awards for writing and supporting roles in limited series or movies. The decision faced some industry pushback, and certain awards were presented prior to the main event without a live television broadcast.

Pre-show coverage will begin on E! starting at 5:00 p.m. ET. The main 78th Emmy Awards broadcast is scheduled to air on NBC at 8:00 p.m. ET. Viewers can also stream the ceremony live on Peacock and through other live-TV streaming services such as Hulu + Live TV.
