Employment Law Attorneys Sue Synagro Technologies Over Unreimbursed Business Expenses

Blumenthal Nordrehaug Bhowmik De Blouw LLP, an employment law firm based in Los Angeles, has filed a class action complaint against Synagro Technologies, Inc. The lawsuit alleges that the biosolids solutions provider violated California labor laws.
The complaint, filed in the Riverside County Superior Court, accuses Synagro Technologies of multiple violations. These include alleged failures to pay minimum wages, overtime wages, provide required meal and rest breaks, issue accurate wage statements, and reimburse employees for necessary business expenses.
Specifically, the lawsuit claims that employees were required to use their personal cell phones for work purposes and that Synagro Technologies failed to reimburse them for these costs. This alleged failure to reimburse is in violation of California Labor Code Section 2802, which mandates employer indemnification for employee expenses incurred in the course of employment.
The plaintiffs allege that these actions resulted in inaccurate wage statements and other violations of labor codes. The law firm is seeking damages and penalties on behalf of affected employees.
