EnBW Completes Turbine Installation for Germany's Largest Offshore Wind Farm

EnBW has completed the installation of all 64 wind turbines at the He Dreiht offshore wind farm, marking a significant milestone for Germany's largest offshore wind project. The farm is set to have a total output of 960 megawatts, sufficient to supply approximately 1.1 million households.

The 15-megawatt turbines, manufactured by Vestas, have now been erected. Technical and electrical commissioning work will continue over the coming weeks, with the wind farm expected to be fully operational by late summer. He Dreiht is located about 85 kilometers northwest of Borkum and 110 kilometers west of Heligoland.

The project represents an investment of approximately EUR 2.4 billion. EnBW stated that most of the future electricity generation has already been secured through long-term power purchase agreements, indicating a reduced market risk.

With the completion of turbine installation, the project moves closer to full commissioning and reinforces EnBW's offshore wind portfolio as Germany expands its renewable energy capacity.
