Swedish company Encare AB has entered into an agreement with the National Cancer Institute of Thailand (NCI Thailand), marking its first hospital partnership in the country. The collaboration is set to support the implementation of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols specifically within colorectal surgery.
NCI Thailand, a specialist oncology hospital in Bangkok operating under Thailand's Ministry of Public Health, becomes Encare's initial entry point into the Thai healthcare market. This partnership also serves to strengthen Encare's existing presence in the wider Asia-Pacific region.
ERAS protocols are evidence-based clinical guidelines designed to optimize patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The aim is to reduce surgical complications, shorten hospital stays, and improve overall patient recovery and outcomes.
Encare provides expertise and digital tools to assist healthcare organizations in developing and implementing standardized ERAS pathways. The company focuses on enhancing patient recovery and improving the efficiency of healthcare delivery globally.
