The facility, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lower Providence, will provide specialized physical and occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and 24-hour nursing care. It is designed to assist patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, complex medical conditions, and orthopedic issues.
The hospital features 40 private patient rooms and aims to help patients transition back to their homes and communities. It is expected to employ approximately 100 healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and physicians.
The opening, announced in September 2026, addresses a growing need for intensive rehabilitation services in the Philadelphia region.
