Endertech completes Shopify migration for American Freight with inventory integration

Endertech has transitioned American Freight’s e-commerce platform to Shopify, implementing custom middleware to synchronize store-level inventory with the STORIS ERP system.

2 November 2026

Technology firm Endertech finalized the migration of americanfreight.com to the Shopify platform in July 2026. The project involved replacing the retailer's previous nopCommerce system while maintaining STORIS as the central operational record for inventory, pricing, and orders.

To manage the complexity of a multi-store furniture retail model, Endertech developed custom middleware that enables a localized shopping experience. Customers select a specific retail location, and the site filters products to display only items currently in stock at that facility. This integration supports buy-online, pick-up-in-store (BOPIS) functionality by utilizing verified, store-level inventory data.

Endertech CEO Gabriel Richards noted that for retailers operating dozens of physical outlets, accurate inventory confidence is a critical product feature. The engagement covered the full project lifecycle, including platform migration, catalog data transfer, and ongoing technical support.

This migration reflects a broader trend in the retail sector, where companies are increasingly adopting modern e-commerce storefronts like Shopify while retaining specialized ERP systems to manage complex supply chain data.
