Enerando integrates solar power, charging infrastructure, and electric vehicles for cost savings and emissions reduction
German company Enerando offers solutions combining solar-generated energy with electric vehicle charging, aiming to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.

German technology firm Enerando presents an integrated solution that combines solar power generation, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and electric vehicles themselves. The company states this combination can significantly enhance energy efficiency, optimize costs, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
A key aspect of Enerando's strategy involves utilizing excess solar energy for local charging. Many solar power systems currently feed surplus production into the grid, often for low compensation. By implementing local charging infrastructure, the company explains, the self-consumption of solar electricity can be maximized. Particularly with AC chargers, which allow for longer charging times, the charging power can be continuously adapted to the available solar energy. This increases the profitability of solar installations by raising the proportion of self-consumed energy.
Operational costs for electric vehicles can be substantially reduced when charged with self-produced solar power. According to Enerando's calculations, a 100 km journey with a consumption of 20 kWh and a solar electricity cost of €0.1/kWh would only cost €2. This offers long-term cost optimization for vehicle fleets, independent of fuel price fluctuations.
The company also emphasizes environmental benefits. Using self-generated solar power for EV charging reduces dependence on fossil fuels and significantly lowers carbon dioxide emissions. This not only contributes to meeting climate targets generally but also concretely improves a company's environmental footprint and sustainability. Furthermore, integrated systems can help stabilize electricity grid loads by using surplus energy for charging.
Enerando's offerings include robust AC wallboxes, comprehensive software solutions for managing charging points and energy, and scalable systems that allow for virtually unlimited expansion of charging points. The company also facilitates virtual charging parks, which aggregate charging points across multiple locations.
Enerando aims to assist businesses in maximizing their return on investment and minimizing the impact on their own processes and resources through integrated solar energy and charging solutions.
