ENERANDO integrates solar power, charging infrastructure, and EVs for cost efficiency

Munich – ENERANDO is offering an integrated solution that combines solar power generation, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and EVs. The company states this combination can enhance energy efficiency, optimize costs, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

According to ENERANDO, a significant portion of excess power from solar installations is currently fed into the grid at low compensation rates. By implementing local charging infrastructure, the company claims self-consumption of solar power can be maximized. Using AC chargers, in particular, allows charging power to be continuously adjusted based on available solar energy, thereby increasing the profitability of solar installations through higher self-consumption rates.

The operational costs for EVs can be significantly reduced when charged with self-generated solar power. For example, with an energy consumption of 20 kWh per 100 km and electricity costs of €0.1/kWh, the cost for 100 km of driving would be just €2. This optimizes the total cost of ownership for a vehicle fleet and reduces dependence on fuel price fluctuations.

ENERANDO's solutions include durable AC wallboxes with charging capacities of up to 22 kW, along with comprehensive software for managing charging points, energy, and billing. The system is scalable, allowing for the addition of multiple charging points as needed. Virtual charging parks can also aggregate charging points from various locations. The company also provides consulting and modeling services to its clients.
