ENERANDO Releases Guidance on Optimizing Electric Vehicle Charging
ENERANDO, a company specializing in EV charging infrastructure, has published tips aimed at extending battery life and reducing charging costs for electric vehicle owners.

GERMANY โ October 7, 2025 โ ENERANDO has issued new guidance for electric vehicle (EV) charging, providing users with methods to enhance charging efficiency and lower expenses.
The company suggests that optimal battery charging occurs between 20% and 80% capacity, which is said to significantly extend the battery's lifespan compared to frequent full or deep discharges. ENERANDO also advises utilizing off-peak or time-controlled charging to take advantage of lower electricity rates, with smart charging stations and apps enabling automated control.
Additionally, ENERANDO recommends reserving fast charging for exceptional circumstances, as it places greater strain on the battery and is typically more costly. For everyday use, slower AC charging, such as overnight or at the workplace, is presented as the preferred method.
The guidance also includes pre-conditioning the battery and cabin while the vehicle is still plugged in, particularly beneficial in winter to maintain range, and keeping vehicle software up-to-date. The company emphasizes the use of charging statistics and apps for smarter planning and optimization of charging sessions.
ENERANDO aims to help EV owners charge their vehicles more efficiently, cost-effectively, and in a way that preserves battery health, contributing to the successful integration of electromobility into daily life.
