Energy Fuels Appoints Mining Executive Jeffrey Olsen to Board
Energy Fuels Inc. has added Jeffrey Olsen, a former executive at Boart Longyear and Rio Tinto, to its board of directors. He will also serve on the company's audit committee.
Denver-based Energy Fuels Inc. has named Jeffrey Olsen to its board of directors. Olsen, a seasoned mining industry executive, is set to join the company's audit committee, where he will serve as a designated financial expert.
Olsen brings significant experience from his previous roles, including an eight-year tenure as President and CEO of Boart Longyear and an 18-year career at Rio Tinto, where he held various commercial and financial positions. His background in capital structure management and global commodity operations is expected to support Energy Fuels as it scales its critical materials operations.
CEO Ross Bhappu stated that Olsen’s industry leadership is a strategic addition as the company continues to develop its rare earth and uranium assets. Outside of Energy Fuels, Olsen currently holds board positions at Dyno Nobel Ltd. and Savage Companies. Energy Fuels continues its focus on rare earth elements, uranium, and mineral sands production.
