Energy Fuels Rare Earths Qualified by Japan's Largest Magnet Maker

Energy Fuels Inc. has reached a significant milestone in its rare earth element production, with its "heavy" rare earth products receiving qualification from Japan's largest permanent magnet manufacturer. The company stated that terbium oxide was among the materials approved.

This qualification brings Energy Fuels closer to its goal of commercially producing a full portfolio of both "light" and "heavy" rare earth oxides. These oxides are crucial components in the manufacturing of permanent magnets, which are essential for applications such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, and advanced electronics.
