Milan, Italy – July 16, 2026
Enfinity Global, a renewable energy firm, and E Energy Invest, the investment vehicle of the Strioga Family Foundation, announced a strategic co-investment partnership for a 150 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Livorno, Tuscany. Strioga Family Foundation will acquire a 49.9% equity stake, while Enfinity Global retains a 50.1% controlling interest and will manage the project's completion and long-term operations.
The fully permitted 150 MW project, with a four-hour duration and 600 MWh capacity, is part of Enfinity's 6.7 GW BESS portfolio in Italy. This initiative aims to enhance grid flexibility, facilitate greater integration of renewable energy sources, and bolster energy autonomy and electricity system price competitiveness.
This transaction signifies Strioga Family Foundation's entry into the Italian energy sector. It follows Enfinity Global's recent capital formation strategy, which has attracted significant partners, including Azerbaijan's sovereign wealth fund, for portfolios exceeding 1.1 GW in the past year.
The partnership combines Enfinity's expertise in developing and operating energy infrastructure with the Foundation's long-term investment approach in energy transition projects. Gediminas Uloza, CEO of Strioga Family Foundation, stated this is their fourth and largest BESS development investment to date, bringing their commitments in European BESS projects to over 2.5 GWh.
