Enginsight Offers MDR Service for German SMEs

IT security firm Enginsight has introduced a new Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service specifically targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany. The service aims to bolster corporate cybersecurity and increase their digital sovereignty.

As cyber threats continue to grow in sophistication and volume across Europe, many SMEs with limited resources struggle to keep pace. Reports from German authorities, such as the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), highlight a concerning rise in IT incidents. SMEs are often identified as particularly vulnerable targets due to security measures that do not align with current threats. Many still rely on basic protections like firewalls and antivirus software, which are insufficient against advanced threats, including social engineering and tailored malware.

Enginsight's MDR service provides proactive monitoring and rapid response to security incidents. It includes continuous threat detection, analysis, and actions to mitigate potential attacks. The goal is to reduce a company's vulnerability and minimize the damage from any breaches, such as operational downtime or financial losses. According to Enginsight, common deficiencies, like misconfigured or improperly used firewalls and email filters, leave companies unnecessarily exposed.

The service also emphasizes the importance of digital sovereignty, meaning a company's ability to control its own digital data and processes independently. As a German-based service, Enginsight commits to adhering to strict German and European data protection regulations, offering companies assurance that their data is handled correctly.

Enginsight notes that many SMEs hesitate to invest in advanced security solutions due to cost and complexity. The MDR service seeks to address this by offering a scalable and cost-effective option that also helps companies meet increasing regulatory requirements, such as the NIS2 directive.
