Enginsight raises €6 million to enhance cybersecurity for SMEs

Enginsight, a German provider of an all-in-one cybersecurity platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), announced it has raised €6 million in a new funding round. The round was led by UVC Partners, with participation from co-investors Carsten Maschmeyer's seed+speed fund, bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen GmbH, Brandenburg VENTURES GmbH, Smart Infrastructure Ventures, and Talanx AG.

The company intends to use the fresh capital to intensify its efforts in protecting German SMEs from the increasing threat of cyberattacks. SMEs, representing 99.4% of the German economy, are often vulnerable due to limited resources and expertise. Cyberattacks caused an estimated €203 billion in damages in Germany in 2022, highlighting the urgent need for robust cybersecurity solutions.

Enginsight's platform focuses on threat detection, prevention, and automated vulnerability management, aiming to shield SMEs from financial damage. "Our goal is to ease the burden on IT managers in SMEs and provide them with the transparency and control they need over their networks," said Mario Jandeck, co-founder and CEO of Enginsight. "With our holistic approach, companies can act proactively to protect themselves."

With this funding, Enginsight plans to expand its market leadership in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and establish an international presence. The strategy includes targeted branding campaigns, sales team expansion, and new partnerships. The software will also continue to evolve to provide optimized, future-ready protection for SMEs.
