Enginsight Releases Client Pulsar for System Monitoring

German IT security firm Enginsight has released its new Client Pulsar feature, enhancing its monitoring platform. This addition allows businesses to monitor their IT systems from the inside, complementing the company's previous Observer tool which focused on external monitoring.

The Client Pulsar gathers data on system software, running processes, and user accounts. It also tracks key performance metrics such as CPU and memory utilization. A significant new capability is the "Plugins" feature, which allows users to create and automatically execute custom scripts on selected systems, facilitating tasks like simultaneous firewall configuration changes across multiple machines.

The new client currently supports Ubuntu 16.04+, OpenSuse 13+, Debian 8+, and Windows Server 2008+ / Windows 7+ operating systems. Enginsight is actively working on expanding support for additional operating systems and introducing further functionalities. Bash and Python 3 script execution is supported, with PowerShell support in development.

With the introduction of Client Pulsar, Enginsight aims to provide a more comprehensive view of IT infrastructure health and security for its clients.
