Envision Energy Launches Model T Onshore Wind Turbine
Envision Energy has unveiled its EN175/8.0, an 8 MW onshore wind turbine featuring a 175-meter rotor. The new turbine is designed for improved energy capture and lifecycle value in variable wind conditions.

HAMBURG, Germany โ Envision Energy has introduced the Model T โ EN175/8.0, an 8 megawatt (MW) onshore wind turbine with a 175-meter rotor. The new turbine is designed for sites with medium wind speeds and challenging operational conditions, aiming to enhance energy yield and lifecycle value.
The EN175/8.0 is built upon Envision's established Model T platform, which has over 4,000 units ordered and approximately 1,500 installed to date. It integrates the company's sixth-generation low-noise aerodynamic technology and internally developed key components. The turbine also features the Galileo autonomous optimization system, powered by Envision's Tianji Weather Foundation Model and Dubhe Energy Foundation Model.
According to Envision Energy, the new turbine can deliver a 2โ12% increase in energy production compared to existing models, depending on site conditions. Its lifecycle economics are supported by Envision's vertically integrated approach to designing and manufacturing components such as blades, gearboxes, and generators. The turbine incorporates advanced low-noise aerodynamic features and offers quieter operating modes for noise-sensitive projects.
Designed for diverse and complex onshore environments, the EN175/8.0 can be deployed in areas with difficult wind conditions and mountainous terrain. It is available in configurations for cold climates and includes an anti-icing system for relevant conditions. The turbine also supports grid stability with enhanced grid control capabilities, and its AI-driven control system allows for continuous operational optimization based on changing wind conditions.
