Envision Energy Launches New 8 MW Onshore Wind Turbine
Envision Energy has unveiled its new Model T – EN175/8.0 onshore wind turbine, featuring a 175-meter rotor. The turbine is designed for sites with moderate wind speeds and complex operating environments.
HAMBURG, GERMANY – September 25, 2026 – Green technology firm Envision Energy today launched its new onshore wind turbine, the Model T – EN175/8.0, at WindEnergy Hamburg. This 8-megawatt (MW) turbine, with a 175-meter rotor, is designed to enhance energy capture and lifetime value, particularly for sites with moderate wind conditions and complex operating environments.
The turbine builds upon Envision's established Model T platform, which has seen over 4,000 units ordered. The new model integrates advanced aerodynamics, quieter technology, and the company's proprietary Galileo control system. This system utilizes artificial intelligence and weather prediction models to optimize energy production.
Envision states the new EN175/8.0 turbine can increase energy yield by 2–12% compared to existing models, depending on specific site conditions. The company has also focused on vertical integration in the manufacturing of key components such as blades, gearboxes, and generators, aiming to improve performance and control lifecycle costs.
The turbine is engineered to withstand diverse conditions, including mountainous terrains and cold climates. An optional blade de-icing system is also available. For grid connectivity, the turbine supports grid stability through advanced grid-forming capabilities, crucial as renewable energy penetration increases.
