Envision Energy Launches New Onshore Wind Turbine Model

Envision Energy has launched its new EN175/8.0 onshore wind turbine at WindEnergy Hamburg. The 8 MW-class turbine features a 175-meter rotor and is designed for medium-wind-speed sites and complex operating environments.

The new turbine is built upon Envision's existing Model T platform, which has seen over 4,000 units ordered and approximately 1,500 installed to date. The EN175/8.0 integrates sixth-generation low-noise aerodynamics, in-house designed and manufactured key components, and an AI-powered autonomous optimization system. The company states the turbine can increase energy yield by 2–12% compared to previous models.

Emphasis has also been placed on noise reduction and reliability. The turbine utilizes low-noise blade airfoils and newly developed serrated trailing edges, targeting a sound power level of 107 dB(A), with optional low-noise operating modes available. The company highlights its vertical integration in manufacturing key components as a factor in improving quality and cost control.

With this new model, Envision Energy aims to improve the overall economics of wind farms and enable smarter operation. AI systems, including the Tianji Weather Foundation Model and Dubhe Energy Foundation Model, allow the turbine to autonomously adapt to changing wind and operating conditions. The goal is to integrate wind, solar, and energy storage solutions as part of future energy systems.
