Envision Energy Launches New Onshore Wind Turbine Model
Envision Energy has introduced its new 8 MW EN175/8.0 onshore wind turbine in Hamburg. The turbine utilizes AI for optimization and aims to improve power plant efficiency and lifecycle value.

Envision Energy, a green technology company, unveiled its Model T โ EN175/8.0 onshore wind turbine at WindEnergy Hamburg. The turbine has a power output of 8 megawatts and a rotor diameter of 175 meters.
Designed for sites with moderate wind speeds and challenging operational environments, the new turbine integrates advanced aerodynamics, drivetrain technologies, and autonomous AI optimization. The goal is to enhance energy yield, reliability, and lifecycle value.
The EN175/8.0 is built upon Envision's existing Model T platform, which has seen over 4,000 units ordered globally. It incorporates the company's sixth-generation quiet aerodynamics and key components designed and manufactured in-house. The turbine's control system, Galileo, leverages AI-driven weather and energy production foundation models.
"The next generation of wind power is not just about building bigger turbines. It is about making them smarter, more reliable, and more valuable throughout their entire lifecycle," said Lou Yimin, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Envision Energy. He added that the Model T โ EN175/8.0 combines a proven platform with autonomous AI optimization to help customers capture more energy and operate more efficiently.
The turbine is designed to perform in diverse and demanding onshore conditions, including complex wind conditions and mountainous terrain, with configurations available for higher extreme wind speeds and cold climates. An optional de-icing system for the rotor blades is also offered. The AI-driven control allows the turbine to autonomously adapt to changing wind and operating conditions, improving energy efficiency and grid stability.
