Envision Energy Receives TÜV SÜD Certificate for Wind Farm Control System
Envision Energy's wind farm control system has received an IEC 62443-3-3 SL2 certificate from TÜV SÜD. The certification validates the system's cybersecurity capabilities for future energy infrastructure.
HAMBURG, Germany – September 25, 2026 – Envision Energy's wind farm control system has obtained an IEC 62443-3-3 Security Level 2 (SL2) certificate from TÜV SÜD. The certification covers key components including SCADA, PPC, PLC, and industrial network devices. The company announced the achievement at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026.
This certificate represents a significant advancement in Envision Energy's cybersecurity efforts, providing independent validation of security capabilities from core control components to the overall wind farm system level. The IEC 62443 standard is globally recognized for the cybersecurity of industrial automation and control systems, with its system-level requirements confirming the comprehensive security of the system.
Envision Energy has integrated cybersecurity throughout the design, development, and delivery of its wind energy technologies. Previous certifications include the secure development lifecycle (IEC 62443-4-1) and SCADA, PPC, and PLC components (IEC 62443-4-2 SL2). The new certificate complements these, demonstrating a structured approach to security.
