Envision Energy Receives TÜV SÜD Certification for Wind Power Plant Control System
Envision Energy's wind power plant control system has achieved IEC 62443-3-3 certification at Security Level 2 (SL2) from TÜV SÜD. The certification validates the system's cybersecurity capabilities.

Envision Energy's wind power plant control system has been awarded IEC 62443-3-3 certification at Security Level 2 (SL2) by TÜV SÜD. The certification covers core components including SCADA, PPC, and PLC systems, as well as industrial network devices. This achievement signifies a major step forward in Envision Energy's commitment to cybersecurity.
The certification, presented at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, independently verifies the cybersecurity capabilities built into Envision Energy's wind farm control system. IEC 62443 is a globally recognized standard for cybersecurity in industrial automation and control systems, addressing system-level security requirements.
Envision Energy emphasizes the integration of cybersecurity throughout the lifecycle of its wind power technology. The company had previously secured IEC 62443-4-1 certification for its secure development lifecycle and IEC 62443-4-2 certification for its core control components. This new certification extends that assurance to the system level.
"As wind becomes an increasingly vital part of future energy systems, cybersecurity is fundamental for the safe and reliable operation of wind assets," stated Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Envision Energy. "We view the certification not as a destination, but as a foundation for continuous improvement."
