Envision Energy unveils new onshore wind turbine
Envision Energy has launched its new onshore wind turbine, the Model T – EN175/8.0. The 8 MW turbine features a 175-meter rotor and is designed to enhance energy yield and operational value.

HAMBURG, Germany – Envision Energy unveiled its new Model T – EN175/8.0 onshore wind turbine at WindEnergy Hamburg. The 8 MW class turbine, equipped with a 175-meter rotor, is engineered for sites with moderate wind speeds and challenging operational conditions.
The new turbine builds upon Envision's established Model T platform, for which over 4,000 units have been ordered. The EN175/8.0 integrates the company's sixth-generation aerodynamics, in-house designed and manufactured key components, and autonomous AI-based optimization. The goal is to improve energy yield, reliability, and life cycle value.
"The new generation of wind power is not just about making turbines bigger. It's about making them smarter, more reliable, and delivering more value across their entire lifecycle," said Lou Yimin, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Envision Energy. "With the Model T – EN175/8.0, we combine proven platform engineering with autonomous AI-driven optimization to help customers capture more energy, operate facilities more efficiently, and create greater plant-level value."
The turbine is projected to achieve a 2–12% increase in energy yield compared to existing models, depending on specific site conditions. Envision's vertically integrated approach to designing and manufacturing critical components, including blades, gearboxes, and generators, also supports improved life cycle economics.
