Canadian manufacturer ENVO Drive Systems has introduced the UPT, a modular personal transport vehicle designed to be configurable into 18 different models, with production slated to begin this fall.

Canadian firm ENVO Drive Systems has launched the UPT, a multi-purpose personal transport vehicle featuring a modular design that allows it to be configured into up to 18 distinct variations. The company stated the vehicle is intended for adaptability across various applications.
The UPT is built on a universal chassis that users can assemble into different types of vehicles. These configurations include low-speed electric vehicles, golf carts, cargo haulers, all-terrain utility vehicles, and industrial transport solutions, catering to a wide range of mobility needs.
Customers have the option to purchase factory-assembled versions or select individual components. Available parts include different chassis types, drivetrains, battery packs, steering systems, tires, seating arrangements, and cargo beds. The vehicle also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, solar charging, mobile connectivity, and offers IP67 dust and water resistance, with provisions for autonomous driving.
The ENVO UPT is expected to be priced between $8,000 and $12,000 USD. Production is scheduled to commence in the autumn. This modular approach aims to address the demand for flexible and customizable transportation solutions in various sectors.
